This course is truly one of the most comprehensive and technologically advanced Television Studio / Video Production courses offered anywhere. It is a "hands-on" course designed to teach and refine technical skills for those with or without prior experience in the field. Students work individually with the Television Professionals who instruct. The course will prepare graduates for direct entry into the field. The curriculum covers the major components of the technical side of television and video.

News Production: shooting and editing the various news reports and features used in television journalism.
Live TV Studio Operation: operating television studio equipment and the coordination of live programming.
Commercial Production: creating, shooting and editing television commercials.

In the News Production segment students learn to shoot and edit all of the various news "packages" used in television. In Commercial Production students perfect their skills in writing, shooting video, creating graphics, recording audio and editing professional commercials. Using both linear and non-linear formats, students produce many commercials during the course.

In addition, all students will receive comprehensive training in the digital video process. During Live Studio Operation, students learn all phases of operating a television studio, including technical directing on a 24 input, Grass Valley switcher, chroma keying, using the DVE, the audio console, studio camera operation, directing, operating the character generator (CG) and teleprompter. In the Feature Production segment, students may focus on their specific area of interest. Typical areas include long format "news and entertainment magazine" type productions, more sophisticated television commercials or more refined news production projects. Students compile samples of their work as they progress through the course and during this last segment, assemble their final "demo" reels used for finding employment. Graduates in good academic standing receive an internship suited to their particular need as well as job placement assistance.
